PMI South Florida Chapter is looking for experienced leaders or professionals interested in developing their leadership. As a member of the board, you will have the opportunity to provide your guidance and lead the Chapter's strategic objectives.
The power to shape the future of the PMI South Florida Chapter lies within our members. The PMI South Florida Chapter is run by a volunteer board led by the President. Each Vice President assumes responsibility for managing his/her portfolio to set and carry out the Chapter's strategic direction.
President-Elect position is up for election (automatic transition to President in 2022) - Leads the Strategic Direction of the Chapter
Serving the Chapter provides opportunities for professional growth, improving leadership skills, learning new skills, networking with your fellow PMs, promoting the profession of project management, providing value added services to our membership, and serving the community. Ever wanted to try something new and never had a chance to do so? Well, here's your chance.
As a board member you will be involved in helping to set the strategic and tactical directions for the chapter, participating in the monthly board meetings, oversee the management of large programs and events, manage other volunteers, and attend PMI regional and/or global conferences.
The 3 primary requirements for serving on the board include:
1. Must be a Chapter member in good standing
2. Must commit to a minimum of 6-8 hours per week
3. Must disclose any possible conflicts of interest

- Log in using your pmi credentials
- On the blue banner you will see link for Volunteer
- Search by filtering to South Florida in the Chapter field (no need to enter anything else)
- Then type the number of the position in the Narrow search field
- SEARCH ITEM 28422 (President Elect)
- Click Search (Hitting the ENTER key will not work as FYI).
**The deadline to submit applications is Thursday April 15, 2021.
Your application will then be forwarded to the nomination committee for review, and you will be contacted for a phone interview.
Once the nomination committee has reviewed all candidates and submitted the ballot, the election will be conducted electronically and results will be announced.
