Information Security and privacy initiatives can be expensive and get out of hand.  These projects must be carefully managed to avoid cost overruns and implementing 'fixes' worse than the initial problem.  Many organizations are currently battling privacy issues regarding data collection, and more regulations may be on the way.  This presentation will discuss the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), why it’s important, and how to manage GDPR projects to avoid common pitfalls.  During the discussion, the audience will be provided examples from real projects gone awry.  This is a “must attend” presentation for any project manager from any industry.
